Wash, Sand & Seal For Rhode Island Homes
Wash, Sand & Seal is our most complete form of Rhode Island paver sealing: clean, re-sand and seal as one restoration. Pressure washing alone makes pavers look clean for a few weeks. A real restoration also replaces the joint sand that holds the pavers together and seals the surface so the color and the joints last. That is our Wash, Sand & Seal system, and it is the most popular service we offer to Rhode Island homeowners with faded, weedy or shifting pavers.
Every Wash, Sand & Seal is handled by our licensed and insured team from start to finish.
What's Included
- Surface cleaning of the full paver area
- Removal of old, dirty joint sand and weeds
- Stain and efflorescence treatment where needed
- New polymeric sand, compacted and activated

Our Wash, Sand & Seal Process
Wash
Pavers are cleaned and old joint material, moss and weeds are flushed out.
Sand
Joints are refilled with polymeric sand, compacted and activated so it hardens.
Seal
A wet look or natural sealer is applied to enrich color and protect the surface.
Why Rhode Island Conditions Matter
Coastal Salt Air
With Narragansett Bay and miles of shoreline, much of Rhode Island lives with salty, damp air. Moisture and salt speed up algae, fading and joint breakdown on unprotected hardscapes.
Freeze-Thaw Cycles
Rhode Island winters swing above and below freezing. Water that soaks into joints and porous surfaces expands when it freezes, loosening sand, shifting pavers and opening cracks.
Pollen, Moss & Shade
Spring pollen, fall leaves and shaded yards feed moss, algae and tannin stains. Clean, sealed surfaces resist buildup and are much easier to keep clean.
Wash, Sand & Seal FAQ
How long does it take?
A typical job takes about two days: we wash the pavers, let them dry, then come back to sand and seal. Sanding and sealing can often be done in the same visit, but depending on the sand, the sealer and the weather, the sealer sometimes has to wait.
Will it stop weeds?
Properly installed polymeric sand greatly reduces weeds and ants in the joints, though no product makes a surface completely weed-proof.
